Church of S. Jacopo
The Church of San Jacopo al Tempio is an ancient religious building, founded - according to tradition - in 1096 by some people from San Gimignano returning from the first crusade. Historical facts deny this and it is known that it was built later, during the thirteenth century. Born alongside the Hospitale de Tempio (whose first documents date back to 1221). The Church, in its simplicity, is secluded and usually communicates a feeling of peace to the visitor. In the lunette above the entrance it is possible to notice a Templar cross, while inside there are some fourteenth-century paintings.
