Museum of Sacred Art

Inside the Cathedral, more precisely inside the Dormitory of the Chaplains, is the Museum of Sacred Art. The art collection present here comes from the assets of the Opera della Collegiata and became a museum in 1930; the museum is housed in the main part of the building and houses works of immense historical-artistic value, such as a Pietà inspired by Donatello, a stone altar, sacred vestments, goldsmith's art, sculptures, a wooden crucifix and numerous pictorial works from the fourteenth century onwards.
